🏏 Pakistan vs Afghanistan: Pakistan wins the opening match of the tri-nation series

 

An unbeaten half-century from captain Salman Agha 

  • Pakistan batted first and won the match by 39 runs.

  • Captain Salman Agha scored an unbeaten 53 off 36 balls.

  • Haris Rauf took 4 wickets, including a double-wicket maiden over (two wickets without conceding a run).

🔹 Pakistan’s Batting:

  • Sahibzada Farhan gave a fiery start, scoring 21 runs off just 10 balls.

  • Though Pakistan lost some wickets in the middle overs, Salman, Nawaz, Haris, and Faheem accelerated the scoring at the end.

  • Pakistan scored 99 runs in the final 9 overs.

🔹 Afghanistan’s Batting:

  • They started steadily, with Rahmanullah Gurbaz attacking early and Ibrahim Zadran and Sediqullah Atal playing cautiously.

  • Their plan collapsed in the 12th over when Haris Rauf took two wickets in one over.

  • Afghanistan lost 5 wickets in just 16 balls.

  • Rashid Khan tried to fight back with a quick 39 off 16 balls, but by then the match had slipped away.
